Confessions Of Love

On a hot sunny July summer day
At River Bend beside the Pearl River we lay.
In each other's arms, true love we shared
With open hearts our souls we bared.
And our inhibitions we threw away.

Our love for each other we were not about to hide.
Our burning desires wouldn't be denied.
In the open we made love for the world to see.
Wishing the moment would last forever was our passionate
plea.
For only between us, our forbidden love can be confide.

We carved our initials in a tree to confess that our love
will endure.
Now our secret is open for all to see, and we ask that tree
our love to insure.
And I realized that day beside the Pearl that love isn't
always fair.
I only know that you are my one true love - a love that is so
rare.
And only into your arms will I forever yearn to be lured.

I will never forget that summer day at River Bend.
As we laughed and loved and hoped the day would never end.
Consumed by our carnal desires that impassioned us like
a fever.
We watched the water flow down the Pearl River.
Two souls so desperately in love with aching hearts to mend.
